Sciatica

The Sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body, starting in the lower back and running down the hips, buttocks, legs and feet. Sciatica is characterized by pain that originates in the lower back or buttock, that travels down one or both legs.

• Pain the leg or rear that is worse when sitting
• Tingling or burning down the leg
• Numbness, weakness, of difficult moving the foot or leg
• A constant pain on one side of the rear
• A shooting pain that makes it difficult to stand up
